This treatment combines a ProDerm PCA Chemical Peel plus Meso Needling with NCTF Boost. Exclusively at Beacon Dermatology.
The skin is numbed then cleansed and the PCA peel is applied to the skin. Peels consist of glycolic acid, fruit acids, salicylic acid and other lightening ingredients.
After the peel is applied, the STEP meso needle vial is filled with NCTF BOOST 135HA. The needles create tiny microinjuries in the skin allowing the peel and NCTF BOOST to penetrate into the skin.
NCTF® BOOST 135 HA is a unique anti-aging, poly-revitalizing complex that nourishes the skin by providing the ingredients that it needs to thrive. The treatment creates the optimal environment for fibroblasts, which are responsible for the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

Chemical peels are actually not as harsh as they sound. The products applied to your face are made from fruit and milk acids. Did you know Cleopatra bathed in sour milk to soften her skin? Unknown to them at the time, she was using alpha-hydroxy acids.
The following alpha-hydroxy acids commonly used in chemical peels:
Alpha-hydroxy acids work by exfoliating the surface of the skin. The dead skin cells slough off and new skin cells grow. This process also stimulates collagen and elastin growth.
Common side effects of alpha-hydroxy acids are sun sensitivity and irritation/redness, which is why they must be administered by a trained professional.
Other ingredients used in chemical peels are salicylic acid and retinol. Both ingredients target acne, clean congested pores and free blackheads. If you are acne prone, your aesthetician may choose to use a peel with these ingredients as well as alpha-hydroxy acids.
Jessner Peels are much stronger chemical peels that work deeper in the skin and are associated with downtime. Our highly skilled Certified Laser Technicians perform superficial peels as well as Jessner peels.

Dermaplaning, also known as epi-leveing, was first used by doctors in the 1990’s as an exfoliation treatment instead of using acid peels. Dermaplaning provides an alternative to peels or microdermabrasion and is a good choice for anyone who has fine facial hair, extremely sensitive skin, redness or rosacea, telangiectasia and is a great treatment to offer to patients who are pregnant or nursing who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin.
The treatment is performed using a surgical blade to gently exfoliate dead skin cells in the Stratum Corneum and removes the vellus hair, commonly known as “peach fuzz”, which can trap excess dirt and oil. A noticeable improvement is immediate with smoother texture and fresh skin appearance. Hair returns softly and will not become coarser, it will grow back at the same rate and texture as before the treatment.
